I'm always fascinated by how people get their wardrobe to really work for them!westmoonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05305132395354227560noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1157694539788402550.post-59210172079553993782017-12-22T14:51:54.123+00:002017-12-22T14:51:54.123+00:00"I think this actually might be the first tim..."I think this actually might be the first time in my life where I've stood in front of my wardrobe in a morning and thought "I want to wear this! Or, no, maybe this? Or this!" and had to choose between many favourites."

THAT is awesome!

Another great wrap up. I am thinking some similar concepts for 2018. I need to analyze what I wear and what I like and don't like. I think I'm going to take a photo a day. Not to share necessarily but just to document and consider how I feel about the garments in my wardrobe.

I am so happy you got your coat and that you love it!!!

I am with you, I'll never hand wash too much of anything (I'll never 100% fast from RTW either!! even though most of my wardrobe is handmade). And am 100% with you on the fit issues with woven tops being unbearable. And I got a good laugh out of the top turned mini dress!KS_Sews (Dressmakingbacles)https://www.blogger.com/profile/04687503853838975877noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1157694539788402550.post-53019435564548962892017-12-22T12:33:09.981+00:002017-12-22T12:33:09.981+00:00I don't think I'll ever hand-wash everythi...I don't think I'll ever hand-wash everything! Even giving up tumble drying some portion of my clothes through the winter seems like a lot to ask! (I line dry all summer, but it's just way too wet here the rest of the year for that to be practical). westmoonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05305132395354227560noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1157694539788402550.post-58153093363458032712017-12-22T12:31:50.121+00:002017-12-22T12:31:50.121+00:00I shop a lot online as well, and I totally agree w...I shop a lot online as well, and I totally agree with your comment. The problem is knowing which fabrics are higher quality. You can guess, to a certain extent, from price, but on the other hand some of the more expensive fabrics I've bought were dreadful and didn't last well at all. It's a tricky one!westmoonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05305132395354227560noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1157694539788402550.post-82748628894871433062017-12-22T06:35:12.127+00:002017-12-22T06:35:12.127+00:0030 wears is really pushing it, I would set the bar...30 wears is really pushing it, I would set the bar a lot lower like maybe 10 is a win. Also, I wouldn't wash a garment every time I wore it, maybe every second or third depending on the day. Like you, I tumble dry my clothes even though I know this is hard on the fabric. Maybe our New Years resolution should be to hand wash everything?????!
Helen near Sydneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06255263233023808831noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1157694539788402550.post-35683192300160501652017-12-21T19:21:23.870+00:002017-12-21T19:21:23.870+00:00I meant to say uk bricks and mortar shops do not h...I meant to say uk bricks and mortar shops do not have a great range (in my area at least) and particularly not in knit fabric. knitsynchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02985062407291015196noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1157694539788402550.post-3234593361028391862017-12-21T19:18:14.368+00:002017-12-21T19:18:14.368+00:00Your part is really interesting and a lot chimed w...Your part is really interesting and a lot chimed with me - especially both fit difficulties and longevity of woven items. I have the same dilemma about fabric quality but when you are buying online a lot (UK fabric shops do not have a huge range in general) it is hard to opt for expensive fabric when the cheaper stuff looks just as good. It's only when you work with it you realise its shortcomings. Interesting post and food for thought. Thanks :)knitsynchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02985062407291015196noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1157694539788402550.post-72583166148185191592017-12-21T16:52:22.533+00:002017-12-21T16:52:22.533+00:00I hang dry as often as possible through the summer...I hang dry as often as possible through the summer, but it's just so WET where I live the rest of the year! Hanging stuff indoors is just too unpleasant because nothing ever seems to dry properly. You definitely have my admiration if you hand wash a lot of your things!westmoonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05305132395354227560noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1157694539788402550.post-72378798455043459082017-12-21T16:50:21.050+00:002017-12-21T16:50:21.050+00:00Thank you! I hope that's one thing that diminishes in 2018. But, you managed to sew far more than healthy me this year ... which says a lot about you ... and me. :-)

I really enjoyed these last two posts.
